South Rim day mule rides may be reserved online or by phone through Grand Canyon Lodges / Xanterra, often up to about 15 months ahead, and popular dates sell out (Official NPS / Grand Canyon Lodges). Confirm live product names (Canyon Vistas, Havasupai Gardens, etc.) on the lodges page — offerings change when trails are closed.
